 Mah Nishtana?

Question: Why is April 23 different from all other nights?
Answer: Because it is Second Seder at TOS!

On Saturday night, April 23 at 5:30 p.m., come celebrate Passover with food, song, a bit of wine, 4 questions and a whole lot more.

Everyone is welcome at this family-friendly seder as we retell the story of how our ancestors were rescued from slavery in Egypt.  Leaving Egypt in a rush, they didn't have time to let their bread rise, so we follow their example and refrain from eating chametz (foods such as bread).

The TOS seder is not kosher or kosher for Passover, but we do follow the traditional Ashkenazi customs, so please don't bring rice or legumes. While the main dish of chicken (and a vegetarian alternative) will be provided, we ask everyone to please bring a dish to share.

Please RSVP to Jackie Leicht (jleicht@templeohavshalom.org) by Wednesday, April 20.  Let her know how many adults and children are attending and if you are bringing matzo ball soup, or a non-dairy appetizer, side or dessert.  If you have any questions about what to bring or a recipe, please contact Sarah Kant at sarahekant@gmail.com.

People are needed to help set-up on Saturday, April 23, at 4:30 p.m. If you are able to help with this or clean up, please indicate your availability when you sign up for the meal.

The cost for temple members is $15 per person (over 5 years old) with a family maximum of $45.  Your account will be billed.

For non-members, the cost is $25 per person with no family maximum. Please make checks payable to Temple Ohav Shalom.
